Summary
On January 7, 2025, between 11:30 AM PST and 1:08 PM PST, Autodesk deployed infrastructure changes out of sequence that impacted customers using Generative Design in Fusion.

Impacted Services

  • Generative Design in Fusion – Customers experienced solves failing immediately upon submission during the incident timeframe outlined above.

Root Cause

  • Infrastructure changes for services required for Generative Design were deployed out of sequence causing a service communication error.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following:

  • Update documentation to better track dependent services and deployment sequences
  • Add new health checks for dependent services
  • Automate escalation process when service incidents occur.

Resolved
On January 07,2025 at 10:30 AM PST, Autodesk identified an issue where customers were unable to create or solve new designs on Generative Design. Once the issue was resolved on January 07,2025 at 01:08 PM PST, Generative Design returned to normal operation. This is a retroactive notification as this issue did not display on the Autodesk Health Dashboard at that time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
