Summary
On June 25, 2025 between 5:00 AM PDT and June 26, 2025 at 4:45 PM PDT, Autodesk experienced an issue that resulted in some customers being logged out of Autodesk products.

Root Cause

  • The issue was caused by the removal of a product key, which inadvertently resulted in validation checks failing for some customers, subsequently logging them out of all Autodesk products installed on their machine.
  • The product key was restored, and the issue was resolved.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following:

  • Implement enhancements to the product key retirement process to prevent impact on downstream products and services.
  • Implement improvements to service monitoring to detect and mitigate issues in the future.
