Summary
On May 18, 2025 between 1:00 AM PDT and 5:30 AM PDT, Autodesk experienced an issue that caused AutoCAD customers using Design Automation to experience longer processing times.

Impacted Services

  • AutoCAD customers using Design Automation
  • APS – Design Automation

Root Cause

  • The issue was caused by an unusual work item payload that identified a defect in the backend logging code. This caused some processing servers to be taken out of service which limited available processing capacity.
  • The fix was implemented to the backend logging code and services returned to normal operation.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following:

  • Implement improvements in testing and detection processes to mitigate issues in the future.
