Summary
On July 13, 2024 between 2:10 PM PDT and 2:13 PM PDT, Autodesk experienced an issue that may have impacted customers in the US region accessing multiple Autodesk products including, but not limited to, BIM 360 Docs, BIM 360 Team, and Fusion Team.

Impacted Services

  • Certain customers in the US region experienced intermittent slowness while accessing multiple Autodesk products including, but not limited to, BIM 360 Docs, BIM 360 Team, and Fusion Team.

Root Cause

  • This incident was due to a faulty traffic load balancer from a third-party provider which delayed some customer traffic from reaching Autodesk’s services. Automated monitoring and alerting helped to detect and auto-remediate this issue.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following:

  • Robust monitoring and alerting capabilities have helped in auto-detection / alerting of this incident on Autodesk’s side. Similar capabilities on the vendor’s side resulted in auto-remediation of this issue.
  • Continue to work closely with our third-party providers to improve the resiliency of our platforms and services.

Resolved
On July 13, 2024 at 2:10 PM PDT, Autodesk identified an issue where customers were experiencing degraded performance while using multiple Autodesk products. Once the issue was resolved on July 13, 2024 at 2:13 PM PDT, all products returned to normal operation. This is a retroactive notification as this issue did not display on the Autodesk Health Dashboard at that time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
