Summary
On December 10, 2024, at 6:16 PM PST until December 11, 2024, at 1:37PM PST, Autodesk had
degraded services that impacted customers using BuildingConnected.

Impacted Services

  • BuildingConnected customers were given the value “Unknown” for the company name
    for soft awarded bids.

Root Cause

  • A defect in the code that made it through testing due to a discrepancy between test and
    production environments.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be
taken. These include the following:

  • The team has completed an audit of the feature flags between environments and has
    brought them into alignment.
  • New policies have been defined to maintain better alignment of feature flags across
    environments going forward.

Investigating

We are investigating reports of customers experiencing an issue for "Soft Awarded" customers, the company name within a bid package is incorrectly displaying as "Unknown" on BuildingConnected in the US region. We are actively looking into this and we will provide an update within 60 minutes or sooner if we have more information to share.
