Summary

Starting on March 16, 2023 at 10:49 AM PDT to March 20, 2023 at 11:33 PM PDT, Autodesk experienced a service disruption that impacted customers using BIM 360 Document Management.

Impacted Services

A select group of customers were unable to see BIM 360 Document Management in their navigation panel or access any BIM 360 Document Management projects.

Root Cause

Manual renewal of account services via account fulfillment failed to sync to BIM 360 Document Management service, leading to customers being denied access.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken.
These include the following:

  • Architectural improvements to enable better syncing of data between account fulfillment and Docs.
  • Improved observability and alerting on BIM 360 systems.
