Summary
On May 22, 2025, between 07:40 AM PDT and 07:55 AM PDT, Autodesk experienced a service disruption in InfraWorks that resulted in customers’ being unable to create models using Model Builder.

Root Cause

  • One of the three tasks became unhealthy, prompting the system to start a new task which needed to remove a database table. Resource contention prevented the new task from removing the database table and performing a restart.

Autodesk Actions
Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following:

  • Updates to application launch process to more efficiently drop and recreate tables.
  • Logging improvements to improve incident resolution.
  • Improvements to health check process for iwmb-ss.

Resolved

On May 21, 2025 at 10:40 PM PDT, Autodesk identified an issue where customers were unable to create models using Model Builder in InfraWorks. Once the issue was resolved on May 21, 2025 at 11:25 PM PDT, InfraWorks returned to normal operation. This is a retroactive notification as this issue did not display on the Autodesk Health Dashboard at that time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
